Before creation, before God started working, there was darkness. But then God sad, ‘Let there be light,’ and everything changes. Chaos became order, meaninglessness became purpose, death became light. As we track the theme of light through the Bible, we see that this light breaking into the darkness was not just a one-time event at Creation. Instead, we see God continuing to shatter the darkness with his light, and bringing life out of chaos and death.
