When Madonna launched ‘Express Yourself’ in 1989, I doubt she had the Psalms in mind! But this book of poetry fits the description well—a genuine expression of the heart of the writer to God. Often praise-filled, but many times filled with pain, doubt and pleas for help, the Psalms are a great example for us in expression our own feelings toward God.
