Let’s be honest: our first reaction to sermon series on money is usually a groan and an eye roll. “here we go again, the church is gunning for my money again.” But when we let the Bible actually speak on money, we see that it goes well beyond the offering plate. In fact it extends beyond the physical to the spiritual realm, where Satan is waging his war against God—with us as the prize. The battlefield? Our finances, where Satan draws our attention away from God and onto ourselves—and enslaves us to what we need, what we want, what we don’t have.
